FIND AND CURATE
Our VISION
At ISIT VINTAGE, we source well-loved furniture, art and curios. Most vintage and retro pieces are made of such high quality materials and superior design that they simply do not require upcycling. They have just become worn out (a bit like us humans). We take care of ourselves with moisturisers and health kicks but we forget to award our furniture the same courtesy: if you don’t nourish wood it dries out, if you don’t clean fabric it gets stained, if you don’t dust your picture it fades.
We aren’t drawn to trends, just appreciate quality and design, carefully selecting each item for its potential. In our workshop, we breathe new life into these retro and vintage pieces striving to maintain the character of the life they have already lived. A sustainable approach to filling a room full of personality.
Recognising when to restore, when to enhance and when to reinvent is important to our ethos: we don’t make old into new but allow the piece to share its story; we do not upcycle – we revive.
Our vision is simple:
find and curate furniture, art and curio whose story can last another lifetime

FURNITURE
We are naturally drawn to curating mid century and Danish pieces. 1950 to 1970 are eras of special interest.
Having said this though, our collection is often enhanced with the occasional mix of styles so searching through you may find an industrial desk, art deco cabinet or antique chair. Simply put, if it has the potential to look great in a modern home, we won’t overlook it, we will revive it.

ART
We curate pieces of art that will help your room to tell a story.
We select a range of art from prints to original paintings. We will enhance an ornate frame to draw out the colours in the picture, or reframe a print to suit a modern home, but we leave the art as it is to retain its historic charm.

CURIO
No home is complete without a few curiosities to draw the eye around the room.
We source retro items to enhance the living space of any room in the home: lights and lamps, mirrors, vases, clocks, glassware, coffee sets. All selected for their potential use as well as their aesthetic quality.
